More than 300 plant seedlings were planted in Mexico, Pampanga during the Dia del Galeon tree-planting activity, drawing support from both government and non-government organizations.

Representatives from the Malaysian and Mexican embassies also participated in the event, which included a webinar discussing the importance of organic farming and tips on growing coconut trees.

In addition to 75 coconut trees, other plants like chico, lanzones, and star apple were planted.

The activity, now in its second year, commemorates the historic return of the galleons from Acapulco, Mexico, to Manila in 1565, bringing endemic crops to the country.
