A barangay in Mangaldan, Pangasinan is experiencing a shortage of medicines for cough and colds, as well as hypertension.
The barangay council of Barangay Guiguilonen said the demand for medicines have gone up now that the weather has become colder.
“Ang madaling maubos ang sa mga bata at saka maintenance ng mga senior citizens,” said councilman Ferdinand Viloria.
Among those who have benefited from the medicine from the barangay is the child of Jorelyn Capinpin.
“Siyempre, nalalanghap nila ‘yung tubig… malamig kasi… pag gabi, malamig,” she said.
She said the provision has saved them money.
The council is now looking at allocating more funds for the purchase of more medicines.
“Hindi maiwasan na may sipon sila. Yung madaling maubos din na gamot, so far… mayroon pang konti diyan pero pag-usapan sa council, mag-purchase ulit,” Viloria said.
