The Philippine Air Force (PAF) and United States III Marine Expeditionary Force (III MEF Marines) joined forces to deliver relief supplies to Batanes, where over 14,000 people were affected by Super Typhoon #JulianPH.
PAF deployed its C-130 aircraft to transport 15,026 pounds of relief goods to Basco, Batanes from Pasay City, while the US Marines used two KC-130J planes to deliver supplies to Laoag Airport as a staging point.
The essential goods, provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), included rice, bottled water, and canned goods.
PAF also teamed up with the GMA Kapuso Foundation's #OperationBayanihan initiative, working closely with the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) to further expand aid distribution in the province.
