Barangay Bantay in Tabuk City once again proved its status as Kalinga’s "Fruit Basket Capital" by celebrating its annual Fruit Festival, giving away over 500 kilos of fresh fruits.
Residents enjoyed free rambutan and other fruits.
Known for its abundant harvest of rambutan, lanzones, dragon fruit, and more, the area has thrived through a combination of traditional and modern farming methods.
The City Council has passed an ordinance officially recognizing Barangay Bantay as the “Fruit Basket of Tabuk City.”
This recognition highlights its vital role in boosting the province's economy.
The celebration carried the theme "Panagmula iti Prutas, Tulbek ti Panagdur-as" (Planting Fruits, Key to Growth).
