Sparkle GMA Artist Center and the Kapuso Foundation have warned the public against using the name of the two organizations to solicit funds. 

The two released separate advisories on Thursday, September 19, 2024. 

In a social media post, Sparkle said it will never solicit funds and donations for the Kapuso Foundation. 

"Beware of fake individuals pretending to be Sparkle executives or employees asking for donations. Sparkle will NEVER solicit funds and donations for Kapuso Foundation. Stay safe — don’t share your personal information and stay vigilant, mga Kapuso!" its post reads. 

In the post on its social media account are cards that read:

"Sparke Artist Center is warning the public against unscrupulous individuals pretending to be Sparkle executives and employees and soliciting funds and donations for Kapuso Foundation." 

"Sparkle will never directly contact you to ask for money and advises the unsuspecting people to not respond, to not provide any personal information and to stay vigilant."

The Kapuso Foundation's own advisory reads:

"Mga Kapuso, kung kayo ay may natanggap o matanggap na mensahe na nagpapakilalang taga-Kapuso o Sparkle at humihingi ng donasyon, ito po as isang SCAM!

Ang GMA Kapuso Foundation at Sparkle GMA Artist Center ay hindi po humihingi ng donasyon sa pamamagitan ng text messages o chat. Tanging sa Kapusong Totoo ng 24 Oras, at sa GMA Kapuso Foundation OFFICIAL social media accounts at GMA Kapuso Foundation website (www.gmanetwork.com/kapusofoundation/donate) lang makikita ang mga lehitimong paraan para magdonate.
