Residents can exchange plastic bottles and papers for grocery items in Barangay Capurictan in Solsona, Ilocos Norte.

Barangay Capurictan's new initiative allows residents to exchange every two kilograms of plastic bottles or papers for grocery items.

The program is designed to address waste management issues and maintain cleanliness in the area.

To support the project, all barangay officials contributed funds to purchase the grocery items for the exchange.

This effort is part of their commitment to environmental sustainability, as they were recently recognized as the "Cleanest and Greenest Barangay" in Solsona for 2024.
