The Albay Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ALECO) has announced a scheduled power outage several areas in the province from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 28, 2024.
ALECO said they will carry out a massive line clearing activity.
The affected areas include Salvacion and Mi-isi in Daraga, Minto in Guinobatan, and numerous barangays in Camalig, namely:

- Quirangay
- Barangays 1 to 7 Poblacion
- Ilawod
- Libod
- Tagaytay
- Anoling
- Bariw
- Palanog
- Bantonan
- Caguiba
- Portions of Binanderahan
- Calabidongan
- Quitinday
- Mina
- Cabraran Pequeño
- Sumlang
- Gapo
- Ligban
- Quinuartilan
- Tinago
- Baligang
- Taladong
- Bongabong
- Gotob
- Comun
- Binitayan
- Tagoytoy
- Cotmon

The power supply will be restored once the work is completed, possibly without prior notice.
ALECO advised all residents to take necessary precautions and to consider the distribution lines energized at all times to avoid accidents.
