A 47-year-old man was arrested by police after threatening to bomb a café in Sinait, Ilocos Sur, and kill its staff.
The suspect, a resident of Barangay Ballaigui, reportedly chased two female café staff members while making the threat to blow up the establishment.
Authorities apprehended the man but no explosives or weapons were found in his possession.
It was discovered that the suspect is often intoxicated and was not coherent when questioned by the police.
“Maraming beses na raw siyang pumupunta doon sa café na ‘yun at binabantaan talaga, [at] tinatakot ‘yung mga tao doon," PCPT Bryan Lopez, Officer-in-Charge of the Sinait Police Station, said.
The suspect is now facing charges of grave threats.
