Thieves broke into a house in Barangay Doyong, Calasiao, Pangasinan three consecutive times and managed to steal roosters on the first two.

Closed circuit television (CCTV) camera footage from August 16, 2024 showed a rider parking on the side of the road in Barangay Doyong. Moments later, another man can be seen walking towards the rider.

The two were revealed later to be thieves.

CCTV captured the duo stealing four roosters, with one man hiding the birds under his clothing while the rider waited nearby.

The crime took place early in the morning, allowing the suspects to escape quickly as there were no other vehicles around.

The following night, August 17, the same suspects returned and stole two more roosters.

"Hindi naman alam [ng may-ari] na babalik ang mga magnanakaw, kaya nakuhanan ulit sila ng dalawang manok," Barangay councilman Allan Liquiran said.

On the third night, the suspects attempted to strike again. However, they fled on their motorcycle when approached by patrolling barangay watchmen.

"Modus nila madaling araw talaga. Hindi sila umaatake ng gabi, puro madaling araw lang talaga dahil baka walang tao at tulog na tulog," Liquiran said.

The owner of the stolen roosters hope that the thieves would be caught, soon.
