At least 3 students were injured after the tricycle they were riding crashed at the side of the road in Barangay Siay, San Miguel, Catanduanes.

Based on police reports, the tricycle allegedly lost control while traveling in the area.

The students were rushed to the hospital for treatment. 

The driver was unharmed.

Authorities continue their investigation as of this writing.

PMAJ. Lester Quililan, Chief of Police of San Miguel Municipal Police Station (MPS), advised both drivers and passengers to ensure that tricycles are well-maintained and not overloaded.

"I-check po nung mga driver yung mga tricycle nila, and yung sa mga pasahero naman po make sure na yung sasakyan niyo po is komportable [at] hindi overloaded," Quililan said.
