One of the problems Barangay Anolid in Mangaldan, Pangasinan is facing is trash thrown arbitrarily along roads and other areas.

The barangay has intensified monitoring efforts but is also considering installing more closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras.

Despite regular weekly clean-up drives, sacks of garbage continue to be dumped and piled along the streets.

Residents like Rolando Castro express frustration over the situation.

“Talagang perwisyo din yun… hindi na namin iniintindi basta itong bakuran namin malinis… maski diyan sa banda diyan,” he said.

Barangay officials suspect that some of the garbage may be coming from neighboring barangays.

More CCTV cameras may just be the solution to the problem.
