Bargain hunters crowded the streets of Dagupan City on the last day of the ‘tiangge’ operations, taking advantage of slashed prices on various products.
“Bumaba na ang mga presyo kaya minamadali namin para makamura,” Juvy Garcia, a shopper, said.
The tiangge, which has been part of the Bangus Festival 2024 since April 2024, offered a wide array of products at reduced prices.
“Bagsak presyo na kasi last day na ngayon, lugi na wala pa sa puhunan… para makabayad ng pwesto,” Muhammad Nor, a vendor, said.
Meanwhile, some vendors have started packing goods that are unsold. They prefer not to rush the packing of items until the end, which is set until midnight on July 15, 2024.
Starting July 16, Galvan and Zamora Streets, where the tiangge and food strip were situated, will be used again by motorists.
For example, passenger jeepneys traveling to Bonuan and routes to Salisay and Bolosan can once again pass through Zamora Street.
“Papatanggal na ngayon ‘yung mga baratilyo… malilinisan na hanggang mamaya… bukas madadaanan na,” Arvin Decano, Dagupan City Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) Chief, said.
