A P15-million Super Health Center in Barangay Apas, Cebu City is now open to the public two years after construction of the building was completed.
It was not utilized immediately because its location posed challenges, one of which was on securing a building permit and certificate of occupancy.
It took two years for the stakeholders to iron out the challenges in order to meet standards required by government offices.
The Super Health Center is geared up to serve residents of Barangay Apas and adjacent barangays.
Management of the said facility is a partnership between the Local Government Unit of Cebu City and the Department of Health (DOH) in Central Visayas.
Acting Cebu City Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia and Dr. Jaime Bernadas, DOH 7 director, graced the formal opening on July 1, 2024.
