A massive tree planting activity was conducted at the area of a mountain in Salsona, Ilocos Norte that was hit by fire.
The initiative was led by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in collaboration with a local organization.
Government agencies and volunteers also participated in planting trees along the Solsona-Apayao Road.
This initiative aims to address the worsening problem of climate change and promote environmental conservation.
The group is also campaigning to end the practice of burning in the mountains, which often leads to forest fires.
