GMA Radio stations maintain lead in Mega Manila airwaves in April and May

GMA Network's flagship radio stations, Super Radyo DZBB 594 kHz and Barangay LS 97.1 Forever!, continued to be the top choice of Mega Manila listeners in April and May 2024. 

Super Radyo DZBB 594, the Network's flagship AM station, maintained its position as the undisputed leader. According to AGB Nielsen Radio Audience Measurement (RAM), it registered an audience share of 46 percent in April, significantly outperforming DZRH 666 and DWWW 774, which had 18.3  percent and 13.4 percent, respectively.

Driven by its strong performance, Super Radyo DZBB 594 recorded a substantial increase in cumulative reach or audience reach, growing from 1,093,632 listeners in March to 1,286,086 in April. 

The upward trend continued in May, with DZBB’s audience share increasing to 52 percent and cumulative reach to 1,548,858.

Meanwhile, during the same period, DZRH 666's audience share dipped to 15.7 percent, while DWWW 774’s numbers dropped to 11.2 percent. 

For April and May, Kapuso listeners consistently tuned in to top-rating programs "Super Balita sa Umaga," “Buena Manong Balita,” "Dobol Weng sa Dobol B," "Pinoy MD,"  “Executive Summary,” and "Melo del Prado sa Super Radyo,” for the latest news and information. 

Barangay LS 97.1 Forever!, the Kapuso Network's flagship FM radio station, meanwhile, dominated the competition in April and May, according to data from AGB Nielsen RAM. 

It led with an average audience share of 51.1 percent, far ahead of its competitors Love Radio 90.7 at 12.5 percent and Wish 107.5 at 7.6 percent. 

Barangay LS 97.1 also gained more listeners in April, increasing its cumulative reach from 7,146,712 in March to 7,568,538 in April. 

In May, Barangay LS 97.1 posted even better numbers with its 51.3 percent audience share over  Love Radio 90.7's 8.9 percent and Wish 107.5 's 5.9 percent. Its cumulative reach also increased to  7,802,504.

Programs such as "Barangay Love Stories," "Talk to Papa," and "Forever Request" remained popular with its audiences.

Listeners can tune in to Super Radyo DZBB 594 kHz and Barangay LS 97.1 from Monday to Sunday. Super Radyo DZBB programs are also available on Facebook Live and from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on YouTube (@dzbb594). Select DZBB programs can also be viewed on GTV from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Listeners can also follow its official social media accounts on Facebook (Super Radyo DZBB 594khz), TikTok (@dzbb) and X (@dzbb).
