Alden Richards on working with Julia Montes: 'We respect each other's privacy'

It was a star-studded afternoon for Barangay LS Forever today, September 15, with the guesting of Five Breakups and A Romance stars Alden Richards and Julia Montes.

The two A-list celebrities visited the show of Papa Obet to promote their much-awaited film.

Asia Multimedia Star Alden Richards told Barangay LS Forever that it was a “dream come true” moment working with the versatile Kapamilya actress.

He said, “Dream come true. Tapos mare-realize mo na masarap mag-work in our industry, where change is very constant, you know, you get to meet every now and then rare people like Julia na, ‘Ay! Meron pa pala ganito sa ating industriya, ganitong tao sa ating industriya.' So, I think that is the most rewarding fact about this team-up that we have.”

Julia seconded what Alden said, “Siguro, ang sarap din makabuo ng genuine friendship lalong lalo na sa movie na ito with Alden pa.”

She continued, “So iba talaga! Ang saya po talaga nung experience while shooting it, not because we are promoting our film. But really, super sarap talaga ng experience.”

In addition, Alden also pointed out that doing Five Breakups and a Romance was memorable because both he and his onscreen partner respected each other’s privacy.

“Busy sa kalokohan. Isa sa mga bagay na nagustuhan ko talaga while working with Jules is ‘yung parang we respect each other’s privacy. May time kami na gusto lang namin by ourselves, pero most of the time, gusto namin nagkukulitan.” Alden explained.

“I think what this team-up has is respect talaga sa isa’t isa. ‘Yung mga tao sa set magaan, [si] Direk Irene [Villamor], she made sure everything was parang organic. Walang put on, walang fake and ‘yun ‘yung parang nadala namin even after filming.”

Five Breakups and A Romance is a collaboration between Cornerstone Studios, GMA Pictures, and MYRIAD Corporation, the Kapuso actor’s multimedia company.
