Radio GMA scores several recognitions in Gandingan Awards 2022

The hard work of the incredible team behind Super Radyo dzBB and the number one FM station Barangay LS Forever has paid off after their hosts and shows were recognized in the UP Community Broadcasters' Society's Gandingan Awards 2022 last April 2.

Multi-awarded Kapuso news anchor Arnold Clavio and broadcast journalist Connie Sison bagged the Best AM Radio Program Host award for the morning program One-on-One Walang Personalan.

Arnold took to Instagram to express his gratitude for everyone behind their radio show.

He posted, “Panginoon, salamat sa pagkakataong makapaglingkod sa mamamayang Pilipino…

“Sa ngalan ng co-anchor/commentator/partner/kumare na si @connie_sison, sa news desk and staff ng @dzbb594 at ng programang One on One: Walang Personalan, sa #teambulalo at sa ‘text populi’ at tropang shoutout… maraming salamat!”

The GMA News pillar added that this recognition is a ‘special one’ since we are still in the middle of a pandemic and we are fighting the spread of ‘fake news’ in the country.

He explained, “Ang karangalan at pagkilalang ito ay napaka-espesyal sa gitna ng pandemic. Sa pagkakataong laganap ang ‘fake news’ ay naging daan ang programang ito na mabigyang linaw at maipaliwanag ang totoong impormasyon sa likod ng balita.

“Tanging layunin lamang namin na maibahagi ang nangyayari sa ating paligid at makatulong sa matalinong pagpapasiya ng mamamayan.

Arnold’s co-host Connie Sison also thanked the UP Community Broadcasters' Society for the award.

Meanwhile, Barangay LS Forever DJ Papa Dudut took home the trophy for Best FM Radio Program Host, while his program Barangay Love Stories' “Bagong Bayani” episode bested all the nominees in the category of Most Development-Oriented Radio Drama award.

Papa Dudut, Renzmark Jairuz Ricafrente in real life, dedicated his latest award to his family and avid listeners.

Another icing on the cake for the whole Radio GMA team was when the UP Community Broadcasters' Society awarded the Most Development-Oriented Radio Plug for dzBB’s “Kurtesiya na, Disiplina pa” campaign.
