On March 27, ‘The Clash’ Season 3 Grand Champion Jessica Villarubin made a guest appearance in Papa Obet’s radio show ‘Sikat’ on Barangay LS 97.1.
During Jessica’s interview with Papa Obet, she looked back at her life before winning in GMA’s original reality singing contest.
So, I started singing when I was six years old.

Jessica also shared that she’s the only one among nine siblings who was fortunate enough to finish college with a bachelor’s degree in Education.
She said her mother who was a laundrywoman and her father worked as a carpenter couldn’t afford to pay for her college education.
Nevertheless, Jessica used her God-given talent to produce money for her education.
She also said that joining ‘The Clash’ was a dream come true for her.
“Sumali po ako sa ‘The Clash’ kasi ‘yun po ‘yung dream ko na makapagperform sa TV, makasali sa isang malaking contest, like ‘The Clash.’
“Luckily po, ako po ‘yung nanalo. I’m very happy po right now sa mga nangyayari sa buhay ko.”
Things are indeed looking up for Jessica since her ‘The Clash’ win, as she had also undergone a beautiful transformation recently.
She described how it has changed her life by saying, “Si Jessica noon ay mahiyain, ang Jessica ngayon is confident.”
Jessica also explained why she decided to undergo such beauty enhancement.
“Kasi I really love myself, self-love din and right now po I am more confident and happy.
She then talked to beauty expert Dra. Vicki Belo, who served as her fairy godmother in her amazing transformation.
During the latter part of the radio program, Jessica also performed her first single “Ako Naman,” composed by Christian Bautista and available for streaming worldwide in Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube music, and other streaming services, only from GMA Music.
