DZBB's Dobol B Balitang Balita welcomes new anchor

GMA’s flagship AM radio station Super Radyo DZBB revamps its early morning program Dobol B Balitang Balita as it introduces a new host, veteran radio anchor Weng dela Peña.

Beginning Monday, February 10, the newest Kapuso radio anchor will deliver the day’s freshest news from 4:30 to 5:30 am.

“I’m just happy and blessed na ‘yung tiwala ay naibigay sa akin,” Dela Peña expressed.

He also shared that the program’s content is very important to get the listeners’ attention. “Malaki ang contribution ng mga istoryang ilalabas ko. More than me, it’s the story that I deliver. You have to somehow tell the story in a way na talagang ang ganda ng pagsabi. If the person you listen to sounds interested and sincere in his delivery, that is how you keep them more alert and attentive,” he added.

With over two decades of radio experience, Dela Peña’s previous stint as a news anchor and commentator was with the Philippine Broadcasting Service. He was recently awarded as the Best Radio Public Service Host at the 2019 KBP Golden Dove Awards.
