Rita Daniela and Ken Chan headline back-to-back digital short films for #RitKenOnLSForever

The road to forever continues as Barangay LS 97.1 unveiled another ‘kilig’ offering through a series of digital short films starring two of the most versatile and sought-after Kapuso stars – Rita Daniela and Ken Chan.

Dubbed as #RitKenOnLSForever, the dynamic duo took social media by storm with the music video of Barangay LS’ official theme song “Tayo ay Forever,” which was posted on GMA Network’s Facebook page, with more than one million views to this date.

Following the release of “Tayo ay Forever,” netizens were also treated to the online premiere of “The Start of Forever” last Monday, August 5. The story was directed by Vincent Gealogo, GMA Network Post Production Assistant Vice President for Operations and Concurrent Head of Digital Cinematography and Standards Section. It recorded more than one million views in less than a week.

The short film featured the sweet story of Carla (Rita), a wedding planner, and Mark (Ken), a wedding photographer. The two meet while organizing a wedding when suddenly Mark finds himself falling for Carla, but is unable to show his true feelings.

Ken shared that it has always been his dream to star in a digital project and now that’s granted, he couldn’t be any more thankful to have Rita as his co-star, “Isa sa mga wish ko na magkaroon ng digital short film, kaya excited ako lalo na kaming dalawa ni Rita ang magkasama, at gagawa kami ng istorya kung saan makaka-relate at makaka-connect ang lahat.”

“I'm actually excited kasi it's my first time to try something like this and gusto rin naming i-share ito sa lahat ng tao, lalo na sa millennials,” Rita added.

Viewers couldn’t get enough of Rita and Ken’s tandem. Majority of the comments laud their chemistry and expressed excitement on another ‘kilig’ story that’s in store for them in the second short film, which will be about waiting and the right timing for love.
