The truth about Papa Dan

Avid listeners of Wanted Sweetheart in Barangay LS know Papa Dan as fun and outgoing.

He confidently and enthusiastically matches his listeners, hilariously cracks jokes and entertains them for three hours a day.

Off air, however, presents a different version of him.

“I’m really shy. Mahiyain talaga ako,” he admitted to GMANetwork.com.

The DJ shared that this quality is not unique to him. The funny guys in fact, are usually the most reserved.

“This is like the common thing. Halimbawa, kunyare sa artista, kapag merong mahilig at magaling magpatawa, siya pa ‘yung quiet talaga,” he shared.

People know him to be outspoken, but that’s only his profession’s requirement. His friends and family know that he isn’t actually a loud and vocal person.

“In a room, you will not see me talk a lot. I would just be on one side,” he said.

This behavior has led people to assume that he’s snobbish and standoffish. He clarifies though that he isn’t.

“I’m not suplado. Of course, people often mistaken me for that pero I’m not. I’m really just quiet,” he disclosed.

Aside from him being introverted, he shared a couple more things that his listeners might not know about him.

“I love to fly. I want to fly a plane, I want to go to the moon and I want to try sky diving,” he disclosed.
