Zig Dulay pens heartfelt message to 'Green Bones' stars Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid

As the movie captivates audiences in its fourth week in cinemas, fans praise its inspiring story and breathtaking cinematography.

The heartfelt drama has been a major hit, taking home several awards at the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival. The film’s leading stars, Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid, were honored with Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor awards for their standout performances on bringing the emotional journey of Green Bones to life.

In a recent Instagram post, Director Zig took a moment to thank Dennis and Ruru for their dedication and hard work. Sharing photos of them together, he wrote a heartfelt message expressing his gratitude.

"Ang tagumpay n’yo ay tagumpay ko rin," he began. "Mula sa unang pagkikita upang bigyang anyo sina Dom at Javier — hanggang sa tuluyan silang nabuhay sa bawat emosyon at galaw ng inyong pagganap. Salamat sa pagbabahagi ng sining n’yo."

He went on to thank them for their incredible contributions to the film, "Maraming salamat sa paglalakbay kasama ko at sa pagbibigay-puso’t kaluluwa sa kuwento ng Green Bones. Hanggang sa susunod na paglikha ng kuwento’t buhay. Congrats sa Best Actor at Best Supporting Actor ng 50th MMFF!"

Meanwhile, Director Zig expressed his gratitude to the entire Green Bones team during their thanksgiving dinner on January 14.

He thanked everyone for their dedication, sacrifices, and teamwork in making the film a success. "Maraming-maraming salamat kasi ang paggawa ng pelikula ay hindi syempre puro saya. May mga kaakibat iyan lagi na stress. Pero dahil tayo-tayo 'yung magkakasama, napapagaan natin ang mga bagay-bagay," he shared.

Netizens can still catch the award-winning MMFF movie Green Bones in cinemas nationwide until January 21.

The inspirational drama will be screened soon in Hollywood theaters as part of the Manila International Film Festival 2025 (MIFF) from January 30 to February 2, 2025.
