'Firefly' is coming to California, USA on January 30

Firefly, produced by GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs, will be showcased in the United States as part of the Manila International Film Festival beginning January 30.

Firefly will have a public screening followed by Q&A at TCL 6 Theatre Auditorium #1 at 6801 Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, Califonia on January 30, at 5:55 P.M.

On February 1, Firefly will have a general public screening at the same theatre at 3:00 P.M. The next day, February 2, Firefly will have another general public screening, this time at the DGA Theatre LA Theatre #1 at 7920 Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, California.

In the 49th Metro Manila Film Festival, Firefly won the highly coveted Best Picture award, alongside Best Screenplay for Angeli Atienza and Best Child Performer for Euwenn Mikaell.

Firefly tells the story of Tonton and his journey to find the mysterious island of fireflies based on his mother's bedtime stories.

Aside from Euwenn, Firefly stars Alessandra De Rossi, Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Cherry Pie Picache, Epy Quizon, and Yayo Aguila. Kapuso actress Max Collins and Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes have special participations.

GMA Pictures President Annette Gozon-Valdez, Sparkle GMA Artist Center Vice President Joy Marcelo, GMA Public Affairs Assistant Vice President Angeli Atienza, and Ysabel will represent the film at the festival.
