Aside from satisfying AlDub Nation and giving justice to the phenomenon brought about by Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, Imagine You & Me Director Mike Tuviera wishes to honor other people in his film.

Direk Mike revealed on Twitter that he intends to pay homage to AlDub genius and Eat Bulaga Creative Head Jenny Ferre, and to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

“I used benches through the film as homage to Ms. Jenny Ferre, the creator of Kalyeserye. She has a fascinating love of benches,” he explained.

He also added, “It was a very conscious effort to honor OFW’s in the film, as they are a huge part of the AlDub and KS (Kalyeserye) phenomenon.”
