GMA Network lauds Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes and Dance of the Steel Bars for scoring several nominations at the 30th PMPC Star Awards for Movies.
Dance of the Steel Bars shows the world the resilient Filipino culture, the remarkable talent of local filmmakers and their vision towards globalization of the film industry.
Dingdong Dantes is extremely happy to be included in the list of nominees for the Movie Actor of the Year category for his effective portrayal as Mando, a convicted murderer who denies his passion for dancing just to prove his masculinity.

What is important is that our movie Dance of the Steel Bars made our audiences realize that our talents were given to be explored, whether behind bars or in an open field. What matters is how we improve ourselves and others by this gift” Dantes shares.
