‘Si Agimat, Si Enteng Kabisote at Si Ako’: All set to make box-office history in 2012
December 14 2012
Christmas is for the children. And with that in mind, the upcoming “Si Agimat, Si Enteng Kabisote at Si Ako” starring the box-office giants of the local movie making industry, already has a big edge over the other Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entries. The ONLY fantasy-adventure family comedy in this year’s roster, the big-budgeted movie starring Titanic Star Bong Revilla, Jr., consistent MMFF Box-Office King Vic Sotto, and multi-awarded actress Judy Ann Santos, boasts of cinema magic that other genres simply cannot and do not offer.
Be ready to be thrilled by the magical powers our children oh so love in not just one, but three worlds represented by our three leading characters in “Si Agimat, Si Enteng Kabisote at Si Ako.” The worlds of Diwatara, Enkantasya and Amuleto that magically complement the planet and its people as we know it, in a manner that tickles the fantasy of the young beyond their wildest imagination. The spectacular display of fantastic tricks, adventure-laden special effects and fabulous stunts all juxtapose to come up with a movie that is surely going to be every child’s wonder.
Locations in the most awesome places in the Northern part of the Philippines and elsewhere, dedicated sound stages during the entire filming, CGI effects done abroad, colorful costumes and highly interesting characters that are out of this world...talk about unparalleled production value.
No wonder it took no less than five companies--- Imus Productions, OctoArts Films, M-Zet TV, APT Entertainment and GMA Films---to realize such an undertaking.
Then, there’s the timely message of the film that warms the heart and bolsters the universal truth that ultimately, good triumphs over evil. Good values about family, marriage, friendship, responsibility, forgiveness, love and respect and the protection of Mother Earth are all over the film in situations, resolutions, transformations and conclusions. Long after the laughter and wonderment have faded, viewers carry within themselves a sense that if one does right, he will eventually find his happy ending somehow.
Helmed by Tony Y. Reyes according to the screenplay written by Bibeth Orteza and Jermyn Aven Jacob, the story of “Si Agimat, Si Enteng Kabisote, at Si Ako” begins with the establishment of the three different worlds, bound to meet for an adventure like no other – the humble family-oriented Enteng Kabisote (Vic), a low-profile technician married to the beautiful Fairy Princess of Encantasia, Faye (Gwen Zamora); Agimat (Bong), the brave village warrior hero of Amuleto; and the high tech-yuppie Kingdom of Diwatara ruled by Princess Angelina Kalinisan Orteza (Judy Ann) also known as AKO, where she leads an environmental advocacy organization.
From the initial installment “Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote” in 2010, the friendship and partnership of Enteng and Agimat continues in 2012. From an eligible bachelor, Agimat now strives to apply all his learnings from Enteng and Faye as he himself tries to start his own family with wife, also an Amuleto warrior, Samara (Sam Pinto). The fun levels up as Aiza Seguerra brings Angelina and her comic modern Fairy sidekicks Pink Kapre Che (John Lapus), Winged Horse Sol (Yassi Pressman) and computer-wiz dwarf Chichay (Ryzza Mae Dizon), into the lives of the Kabisote’s and the Amuleto couple.
The leaders are confronted with high-tech villains from out of their worlds: Cannibal tribes of the Tokatoks and filthy alien monsters. This leads to unparalleled battle stunts as Agimat, equipped with his one-of-a-kind sword; Enteng and his comic fighting style; and Princess Angelina, in her mystical bird alter ego; win the battle of good against evil.
In 2010, Sen. Bong and Bossing Vic teamed up and it broke all box-office records when they did. This year, there’s Bong, Vic and Judy Ann. Triple the fun, triple the adventure, triple the thrill and triple the box-office draw.
The rest, they say, is going to be history.
“Si Agimat, Si Enteng Kabisote at Si Ako” opens on Dec. 25 at your favorite theaters. Don’t miss it!
