3 Army troopers wounded in NPA ambush in Sagada
SAGADA, MOUNTAIN PROVINCE - Three Army soldiers were wounded Saturday when an undetermined number of New Peopleââ¬â¢s Army (NPA) rebels waylaid them while on their way to Bontoc, Mountain Province. GMA-7ââ¬â¢s DZBB radio reported that the three soldiers belonged to the 54th Infantry Battalion and were part of a group of military personnel on board two 6x6 trucks, when the rebels fired upon them. The ambush took place in a remote area in Barangay Balaan, Sagada. The soldiers were on their way to Bontoc, Mountain Province when they were ambushed. One of the wounded was identified as Pfc. Bram Zambrano. The other two wounded were a lieutenant and a private.-GMANews.TV
