LONDON, United Kingdom - Queen Elizabeth II will not attend the Epsom Derby, but is expected to watch the flat-racing showpiece on television, royal officials said Friday.

The 96-year-old monarch had been expected to attend the race on Saturday, as part of her Platinum Jubilee celebrations marking 70 years on the throne. -- Agence France-Presse
