Two construction workers injured in scaffolding collapse in Sta. Rosa, Laguna
Two construction workers were brought to the hospital after the scaffolding they were on collapsed in Sta. Rosa, Laguna on Sunday morning.
According to the initial police report, the construction workers were finishing concreting a slab on the second floor of a mall under construction when the structure gave way around 10:30 a.m.
"Bale nag-collapse po yung scaffolding na pinagtutuntunan ng dalawang trabahador, nagbubuhos kasi sila, so 'yun po yung nag-collapse, at kasama po sila sa bumagsak." Sta. Rosa police chief Lieutenant Colonel Benson Pimentel told Sam Nielsen of Super Radyo DzBB.

The construction workers were buried under the concrete and construction debris. They were retrieved by personnel of the Sta. Rosa Police, the Bureau of Fire Protection, and the Philippine National Police, and were rushed to the hospital.
The hospital has yet to update the status of the victims.
