PHIVOLCS records 18-minute ash emission from Kanlaon volcano crater


Ash emissions that lasted for 18 minutes from the summit crater of Kanlaon volcano were recorded early Friday morning, the PHIVOLCS reported.

The emissions occurred at 12:12 a.m. and 5:10 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025.

"Both events lasted 18 minutes and generated plumes that rose 100 meters above the crater before drifting Southwest as recorded by the Thermal Camera in Lower Masulog (VKLM) observation station in Canlaon City," the PHIVOLCS.

The agency maintained that Alert Level 3 prevails over Kanlaon Volcano. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
