Man nabbed for alleged rape of 4-year-old daughter, 2 stepdaughters

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested a father for alleged sexual assault of his 4-year-old child, and his partner’s two other children.

According to a "24 Oras" report by John Consulta on Thursday, NBI Cavite North said the victims were being molested by their father, who stood as their only guardian and companion in the house while their mother works as an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in Saudi Arabia.

The agency was able to conduct an operation after verifying the reports made by the victims through a non-government organization.

“Hindi na masikmura ng dalawang anak yung ginagawa niya [at] nagsumbong na sa NBI through a non-governmental organization. Tinrabaho ng NBI, at napatunayan namin na yung 4 years old na sarili niyang anak, minomolestiya niya din,” said NBI Director Jaime Santiago.

(The two daughters were unable to stomach what he was doing [and] reported to the NBI through a non-governmental organization. NBI worked on the case and proved that he was raping even his 4-year-old daughter.)

The victims also said the suspect held them at knifepoint during his assaults, and threatened to kill their grandmother if they refused to cooperate.

“Ito po ay nagsimula noong 17 gulang pa lamang ang kaniyang stepdaughter, at sinimulan niya pong gahasain ang bata. Yung tatay lang ang pinakaguardian nila at kasama itong tatlong biktima natin. Wala silang ibang kasama doon sa bahay,” added NBI Cavite North District Office chief Attorney Eric Nuqui

(This began back when his daughter was only 17 years old, when he started raping her. The father is the only guardian for the three victims. They have no other companion at home.)

Meanwhile, the suspect denied the allegations.

“Wala naman po akong pagsisisihan sir kasi wala naman po akong ginawa,” he said.

(I have nothing to repent for because I didn’t do anything.)

The suspect will face charges for rape, child abuse, and violation of the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act. — Jiselle Anne Casucian and Joahna Casilao/BAP, GMA Integrated News
