The Office of Civil Defense warned the public of possible ashfall resulting from ash emissions from Mt. Kanlaon in Negros Island.

According to a 24 Oras report on Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PhiVolcs) reported multiple moderate ash emissions from the volcano from 2 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on Thursday morning.

The emissions occurred from 17 minutes to more than an hour long and reached a height of up to 400 meters.

Mt. Kanlaon remains at Alert Level 3 or high level of volcanic unrest.
