19 people rescued from capsized boat in Davao City

Nineteen individuals were rescued after their motorbanca capsized in Ilang, Davao City, on Saturday.
According to the Philippine Coast Guard District Southeastern Mindanao, the motorbanca encountered engine trouble in the waters off DBCOM, Panacan, Ilang, causing it to be overwhelmed by strong currents and large waves.
Coast Guard Sub-Stations Ilang and Lasang and the BRP Malamawi received the report and began to conduct a search and rescue operation at 11:05 a.m.
All passengers were safely rescued and transported to the Department of Public Works and Highways Panacan Wharf to receive medical assistance.
