New Bangsamoro Transition Authority MPs take oath before Macacua

Newly appointed members of the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Parliament took their oath of office Saturday in Manila before new Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Interim Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua.
During their oath taking, Macacua called on them to serve with integrity and advance the aspirations of the Bangsamoro people.
“The oath you take today symbolizes more than a mere affirmation of duties; it signifies your unwavering dedication to uphold the aspirations and rights of the Bangsamoro people,” he said, according to a BARMM press release.
The BTA Parliament is the interim government in the BARRM during the transition period, as per Republic Act No. 11054. It also holds legislative and executive powers.
The lawmakers' term is until October 2025 when the transition period ends following the BARMM parliamentary polls.

Malacañang announced on March 10 the names of the newly appointed MPs.
