PNP arrests 9 members of organized crime group in Laguna

The Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group arrested nine members of an organized crime group during an operation in Barangay San Antonio, San Pedro, Laguna, on Monday.

According to a dzBB report by Mao dela Cruz, the CIDG raided the group’s hideout early Monday morning, recovering nine firearms, including a pistol with a silencer, which will be subjected to ballistic investigation.

Among those arrested was the leader of the criminal organization.

(These individuals are engaged in various illegal activities, including gun-for-hire operations and the sale of illegal drugs. They also occupy vacant lots in Cavite and Laguna, intimidate residents, and claim ownership of these lands.)

Torre added that authorities are verifying whether the group is the subject of arrest warrants for murder cases in Metro Manila. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
