Student pulls classmate's hair after calling her ‘ugly’ in Cebu 

A Grade 10 student pulled a Grade 11 pupil’s hair in retaliation after the latter allegedly called her “pangit” (or ugly in English) in a school in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu. 

According to a report in “State of the Nation” on Wednesday, the catfight between the two female students was caught in CCTV wherein other students joined the rumble. 

The two students involved were called into the Mayor’s office. 

The Grade 11 student suffered bruises, scratches, and lost a fingernail. But she denied calling the other student “ugly.” Her parents decided to transfer her to another school following the incident. 

The Grade 10 student apologized for what happened. She and another student will undergo modular learning as part of the school’s disciplinary action.—Vince Angelo Ferreras/LDF/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
