Luxury van of 14-year-old kidnap Taguig student recovered in Bulacan

The luxury van of the kidnapped 14-year-old Chinese student was found in Bulacan a day after the victim was abducted.

According to a 24 Oras report by Ian Cruz on Friday, the van was found abandoned 100 meters away from the Bypass Road in Kaingain, San Rafael, Bulacan on February 21, just one day after the kidnapping.

Inside the van, the body of the 29-year-old driver was found face-down behind the driver’s seat.

The body was found with his hands behind his back, stab wounds on the head and sides, and markings indicating he was choked with wires, which were also found in the vehicle.

San Rafael Police shared that the body was not found right away due to the dark tint and shade of the locked car. They also believed that he was killed inside the car, and had been dead before the car was abandoned.

“‘Yung amount po ng blood doon sa floor is parang doon po talaga siya tumulo,” said San Rafael Police Chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Eisbon Llamasares.

(The amount of blood on the floor seems like it poured out there.)

Meanwhile, the car had dents on the left side of the rear end, which matched the account of the kidnapping victim.

The vehicle’s digital rearview mirror with a camera was missing, while the dashboard was destroyed.

Authorities claim that the suspect may have been familiar with the area.

The mother of the victim claimed that the driver had formerly been an employee of a casino in Clark, Pampanga, and often posted their car and home on social media.

The family thanked the Philippine government, the Chinese Embassy, and the student’s school.

Police are still locating the suspects behind the kidnapping, while the victim has already been discharged from the hospital. –Jiselle Anne C. Casucian/NB, GMA Integrated News
