BARMM turns over 50 housing units in Maguindanao del Sur

Fifty houses were turned over to the most vulnerable families in Sultan sa Barongis, Maguindanao del Sur under the Kapayapaan Sa Pamayanan (KAPYANAN) project of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
In a statement Tuesday, BARMM said each of the new housing units in Barangay Masulot is equipped with electricity and a water system.
All of the 7x7-meter housing units have a kitchen, living area, comfort room, three bedrooms, and a small balcony.
During the turnover on Monday, the beneficiaries also received a Certificate of Ownership and Certificate of Agreement from KAPYANAN that will ensure their legal rights to the housing units.
“Binigyang pansin natin ang pa-bahay dahil simula’t sapol alam natin na isa sa problema ng ating rehiyon ay kahirapan at kabahayan (We initiated a housing project since among our region’s problems are poverty and the lack of housing),” Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim said.
