Baguio City police announces road closures for Panagbenga 2025

Some roads will be temporarily closed to traffic on February 21, 22, and 23 for the Panagbenga Grand Street Dancing and Floral Float Parade, Baguio City Police Office said.

Half lane of the whole stretch of Session Road, Harrison Road, Jose Abad Santos Drive, and Lake Drive will be temporarily closed on February 21 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. for the ‘Super Centennial Parade.”

 

In a separate advisory, the police said the following roads will be closed from 1:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on February 22 and 23:

  • South Drive
  • Session Road
  • North Drive
  • Kalaw Street
  • Part of Abanao Street
  • Part of Magsaysay Avenue
  • Harrison Road
  • Perfecto Street
  • Mabini Street
  • Shanum Street
  • Abad Santos Drive
  • Lake Drive

 

“Motorists and commuters are advised to take alternate routes and plan their trips accordingly. We appreciate your patience and cooperation in ensuring the smooth conduct of this much-anticipated event,” the police said.

For the parade route, the police noted that once the control points are closed at 5:00 a.m., only vehicles ferrying participants will be allowed to enter.

“It will start from Upper Session Road- Session Rotunda-Lower Session-Magsaysay Maharlika-Harisson Road-Abad Santos Drive and Lake drive to Melvin Jones Grandstand, the yellow line is the preposition area for the participants from Panagbenga Park to South Drive,” the police said.

For the emergency lane, the police noted that spectators are not allowed to occupy the Kalaw-North Drive-Session Road Intersection.

“All vehicles on emergency situation shall take Kalaw road and North drive as Entry and Exit in going to the following hospitals: Notre Dame De Chartres Hospital, SLU Hospital, Baguio General Hospital And Medical Center (BGHMC), Baguio Medical Center (BMC),” it said.—Joviland Rita/AOL, GMA Integrated News
