Marijuana farms worth P12.2M destroyed in Benguet —PDEA

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Thursday said four marijuana plantations in Kibungan, Benguet, were destroyed.
In a statement, the PDEA said that from Monday to Thursday, a total of 34,000 fully grown marijuana plants and 45,000 grams of dried marijuana leaves were found in four different sites with a total area of 4,300 square meters.
The discovered marijuana plants and dried leaves cost around P12.2 million, according to the PDEA.
The PDEA said 9,000 fully grown plants and around 5,000 grams of dried marijuana leaves worth P2.4 million were recovered from the first location.
At the second site, 1,000 plants and 1,500 grams of dried marijuana leaves worth P2 million were discovered, according to the PDEA.
At the third location, the anti-illegal drugs agency said 25,000 grams of dried marijuana leaves worth P3 million were also found.
Some 24,000 pieces of plants worth P4.8 million were gathered from the fourth location, according to the PDEA. — VBL, GMA Integrated News
