Live-in partner of slain Naga doctor surrenders to NBI
The live-in partner of the lady doctor who was found dead in a parked car in Naga City has surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), according to a report on Balitanghali Thursday.
The man was tagged as a person of interest in the death of Dr. Rajean Monnette Romualdez.
According to the report, the man was with members of his family when he surrendered to authorities. He was placed under the custody of NBI - Bicol amid the ongoing investigation.
Romualdez’s live-in partner faced the media but he declined to issue a statement, saying he was still waiting for his lawyer.
On Sunday, the body of Romualdez was found inside a parked car at a residential village in Barangay Concepcion Pequeña near the Bicol Medical Center, according to the police.
The 36-year-old obstetrician-gynecologist, who was a resident in Metro Manila, sustained a gunshot to her head.
According to the report, Romualdez’ live-in partner was the last person she met before she died.
