Doctor found dead with gunshot wound in parked car in Naga

A doctor was found dead inside a parked car in Naga City on Sunday afternoon with a gunshot wound to her head.
The fatality was identified as Dr. Rajean Monette Romualdez of the Bicol Medical Center, according to Naga City Mayor Nelson Legacion.
Legacion said the body was found inside the vehicle parked inside Monterey Village in Barangay Concepcion Pequeña.
"The personnel of Station 2 of the Naga City Police Office, along with our EMTs from the CDRRMO, responded to the scene," the mayor said in a Facebook post.
"I have directed our authorities to conduct thorough investigation. SOCO is assisting to uncover the facts in this incident," he added.
Initial investigation by police revealed that the 36-year-old victim, an obstetrician-gynecologist, was seen with the suspect before the crime.
Her bloodied body was found on the passenger seat.
Reward
The Naga City government on Monday announced it is offering a P200,000 reward to anyone who can provide information that can help resolve the case.
"To aid in the swift resolution of the case of Dr. Rajean Monette Romualdez, who was found lifeless with a gunshot wound to the head yesterday, the City Government of Naga is offering a reward of P200,000 to any person who can provide information leading to the identification, arrest, prosecution, and conviction of those responsible for her death," said the announcement posted by Legacion.
"We call on anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
Rest assured that any information shared will be treated with utmost confidentiality. You may provide details through any police station or directly to my office. Let us work together to bring justice to Dr. Romualdez and her family," it read.
