Magnitude 5.2 quake hits Hernani, Eastern Samar

A magnitude 5.2 earthquake hit Hernani, Eastern Samar on Saturday morning.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said the earthquake of tectonic origin was recorded 60 kilometers east of Hernani, Eastern Samar at 9:18 a.m. and had a depth of 12 kilometers.
PHIVOLCS reported that Intensity III was felt in Carigara, Leyte, Dulag, and Abuyog in Leyte, as well as Villareal and Gandara in Samar.
While no damages are expected, state seismologists warned of possible aftershocks.
