3 dead, 2 hurt during serving of warrant in Tagum City

Three people died while two others were wounded when the serving of an arrest warrant resulted in an exchange of fire in Tagum City, Davao del Norte evening on Friday, January 31, 2025.

Police were supposed to serve the warrant against two men accused of murder when one of the suspects allegedly opened fire.

Two members of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team were hit.

Operatives returned fire and killed one of the suspects. Another gunman was killed subsequently while the suspects’ companion who attempted to hide at a grassy area near a creek was later killed during hot pursuit operations. —GMA Regional TV News
