Class, gov't work suspensions ordered in Iloilo City for Dinagyang Festival

Classes and city government work have been suspended in Iloilo City in light of the Dinagyang Festival 2025.
Mayor Jerry Treñas issued Executive Order 11-A, Series of 2025, declaring the suspension of face-to-face classes on January 22, 23, 24, and 27, 2025 in these schools:
1. Arroyo Elementary School
2. Hibao-an Integrated School
3. Taal Elementary School
4. Nabitasan Integrated School
5. Andres Bonifacio Integrated School
6. Barrio Obrero Elementary School
7. Iloilo Central Elementary School
8. Rizal Elementary School
9. A. Mabini Elementary School
10. Lapaz I Elementary School
11. Jaro II Elementary School
12. A. Montes I Elementary School
13. A. Montes II Elementary School
Meanwhile, face-to-face classes were suspended at all levels on January 24 and 27.
The Department of Education 6 has ordered school heads to observe the alternative delivery mode of instruction.
Further, the suspension of in-person classes in college is left to the discretion of school heads or university heads.
Treñas also issued Executive Order No. 1, declaring the suspension of work in the Iloilo City government on January 24 and 27.
''This will allow our employees to participate in the festivities and deepen their connection to this cherished tradition.
