Marijuana farms worth over P3.6M destroyed in Benguet

Authorities discovered and destroyed three marijuana plantation sites in Barangay Badeo, Kibungan, Benguet on Thursday, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said on Friday.

In a statement, PDEA said the plantation sites have a total land area of around 2,500 square meters where 18,200 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants worth P3,640,000 were uprooted.

The marijuana fields were discovered during an operation of PDEA’s regional and provincial offices with the Kibungan Police Station. 

According to the PDEA, the marijuana plants were destroyed and burned on site right after the operation.
