Salon owner shot dead in GenSan

A salon owner was shot dead in General Santos City by an unidentified gunman.

According to a "24 Oras" report on Thursday, CCTV footage showed the gunman entering the salon and pulling out a gun.

The staff scampered away to hide while the owner tried to fend off the masked man by throwing things at him.

This forced the gunman to go out of the salon but returned quickly to shoot the owner.  He also aimed at the CCTV before escaping.

According to the police, the victim was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

Authorities are now working to identify the gunman and the motive for the killing. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/LDF, GMA Integrated News
