51-year-old woman shot dead by neighbor for allegedly spreading rumors

A 51-year-old woman was shot dead by her neighbor for allegedly spreading rumors about his love life in Bacolod City.

According to a report in State of the Nation on Wednesday, the victim was fatally shot from behind by the suspect who fled after the incident.

Police said the victim and the suspect were not on good terms since last year after the former allegedly spread gossip about the latter of having a romantic relationship with someone.

The victim allegedly shared the rumor with the suspect’s live-in partner who is abroad.

The victim’s children admitted their mother was fond of talking with those around her but they denied that she was intruding into the personal lives of other people.
