2 dead, 20 hurt as modern jeep, tricycle collide in Calumpit

Two persons were killed while 20 others were injured after a modern jeep and a tricycle collided in Calumpit, Bulacan.

According to Nico Waje's report on "Saksi," a witness said the modern jeep counter flowed before losing control and hitting the tricycle.

Both vehicles ended up in what appeared to be a ditch on the side of the road.

Among the injured was a woman who took her elderly uncle to the hospital for a check-up.

Those killed were her cousin, who was with them in the tricycle, and the tricycle driver.

The driver of the modern jeep said his vehicle lost its brakes, and he tried to find a way to stop it without getting his passengers hurt. —NB, GMA Integrated News
