A fire broke out in a residential area in Bacoor City, Cavite on Monday morning.

The fire in Barangay Zapote I started before 5 a.m., according to a report by James Agustin on Unang Balita.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) raised the third alarm past 6 a.m.

The fire was declared out at 7:04 a.m.

A total of 13 firetrucks from the BFP and more from volunteer groups were deployed to respond to the fire.

Due to the narrow streets, firefighters had to go to a vacant lot to get close to the affected houses. Some of them climbed over the roof of nearby establishments.

According to the residents, the blaze was already huge when they woke up. Some of them were able to save appliances and clothes from the fire.

Affected residents are asking for assistance.
